Managing Partner

Roderick is the Managing Partner of the Firm. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science where he was a British Chevening Scholar, and a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta.

Experience

Over the last 21 years Roderick has advised on business transactions, regulatory and compliance matters and dispute resolution across various industry sectors, including banking, insurance, asset management, hospitality and leisure, real estate, life sciences, energy, transportation and logistics. He advises on company and commercial law including competition, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. He also advises on a broad range of financing transactions, including asset and project finance, syndicated lending and capital market transactions. He is an experienced corporate and financial services litigator having represented clients in complex disputes before the Superior Courts of Malta and before various administrative tribunals (including the Administrative Board of Review of the ECB). Apart from domestic clients, he acts for a wide international client base with clients from North America, Europe and the MENA region. He is regularly recommended by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

Of-Counsel

Rachel acts as Counsel to the Firm. She holds an Adv. Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European Business Law - Pallas Consortium of Universities, Amsterdam, 2006; a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) - University of Malta, 2005 and a Diploma in Tax - Malta Institute of Taxation, 2009.

Experience

Rachel has worked within the tax advisory department of two of the big four consulting firms, headed the legal and tax department of a boutique tax consulting firm and also acted as a senior consultant to a leading local law firm. Throughout her career, Rachel has been advising multinational clients on cross border tax planning and structuring for now over 14 years.  Her experience includes advising high net worth individuals, Malta trusts & foundations, as well as Malta companies operating across various industry sectors including shipping, financial services, real estate, consultancy, intellectual property, software development and gaming.  She also provides tax advice on re-structuring, mergers and acquisitions and other financial transactions. Rachel has been a speaker at multiple international and local conferences on taxation and has also authored various tax publications. 


Dr. Sharon Pace Gouder
Dr. Sharon Pace Gouder

Managing Associate

Sharon is a Managing Associate and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta. As Managing Associate she is responsible for managing the Firm’s Dispute Resolution service line.

Experience

Sharon’s main practice areas include dispute resolution and contentious financial services regulatory work for domestic and international clients. She has broad litigation experience and has represented clients before the Superior Courts of Malta in commercial, financial services, real estate and human rights cases. She also represents financial services providers before the Financial Services Tribunal and the Arbiter for Financial Services in regulatory enforcement actions by the MFSA and consumer claims by investors. She acts for investors in respect of claims for regulatory and contractual breaches by licensed financial services providers. In addition, she also advises on contentious matters related to real estate, conveyancing, transportation and logistics.

Managing Associate

Stephanie is a Managing Associate and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta. As Managing Associate she is responsible for managing the Firm’s Business Transactions service line.

Experience

Stephanie’s main practice areas include corporate law, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and private equity transactions, mostly with a cross-border element. She has worked on a number of domestic and international lending, corporate finance and capital market transactions, including both equity and debt offerings and their listing on regulated markets. She regularly advises investment fund, private equity and family office clients on their corporate and deal structuring in a variety of industries including financial services, IT, renewable energy, real estate consumer goods and gaming. In addition, her experience includes advising clients on general corporate matters, financial market regulation, cross-border recovery, debt restructuring and insolvency procedures.

Associate

Anthea is an Associate and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Masters in Advocacy degree from the University of Malta. She works across the Firm’s Regulatory and Corporate Governance and Dispute Resolution service lines.

Experience

Anthea’s main practice areas are commercial law, company law, and banking and finance. Anthea has worked on matters related to corporate governance and regulation in the financial services sector. Anthea also advises a range of domestic and international clients in the hospitality, real estate, life sciences, transportation and logistics sectors on general corporate, commercial and contractual matters. She also advises clients on dispute resolution before the courts and in arbitration in her areas of practice.

Fiona is the PA to the Managing Partner and the Firm’s Administrator with responsibility for managing the various administrative functions of the Firm.
